Last updated: 16 October 2026
We take your privacy seriously and handle personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who is responsible for your information
WebDev Creations is a trading name of Dealafied (Pty) Ltd, registration number [company registration number], Hermanus, Western Cape (Dealafied (Pty) Ltd t/a WebDev Creations). We are the “responsible party” under POPIA.
Information Officer: [name of the Information Officer], [email protected].
What we collect
- What you give us: your name, email address, phone number, business name, website address and any message or notes you send us, when you contact us or order.
- Order details: which package you bought, the amount, and the payment status. We never see or store your card number: card payments happen on Yoco’s secure page.
- Technical details: your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, which our security and speed provider (Cloudflare) records to keep the website safe and working.
Why we collect it
Only to reply to you, take payment, build and look after your website, send you the receipts, payment links and project updates that go with your order, keep the website secure, and meet our legal and tax duties. We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing newsletters without your permission.
Cookies
- Our information pages (home, services, packages, blog and so on) set no cookies and use no advertising or tracking cookies.
- Pages with a form (the contact form and the order form) set two small essential cookies, a session cookie and a security token, which last up to 2 hours. They are needed for the form to work safely.
- Cloudflare may set its own security cookies to tell people and bots apart, and Yoco’s payment page has its own cookies. We use Cloudflare’s privacy-friendly visitor statistics, which do not use cookies.
Who else handles your information
We use a few trusted providers (“operators”) who handle information only on our behalf and only for the purpose below:
- Yoco: processes card payments and receives only what it needs to do so.
- Cloudflare: protects and speeds up the website, and runs the spam check on our forms.
- Our hosting and email provider: stores the website and our emails.
We may also share information where the law requires it. Some of these providers store or process information outside South Africa, for example in the United States or Europe. We only use providers that protect information to a standard comparable to POPIA.
How we protect it
The website runs over HTTPS, access to our dashboard needs a password and a one-time code from an authenticator app, and we only keep information we need.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become an order: up to 24 months.
- Orders, invoices and payment records: 5 years, as South African tax law requires.
- Your website files while your plan is active, and for the period described in our Terms afterwards.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (unless the law requires us to keep it), and you may object to us using it. Email [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
If you are not happy with how we handled a request, you can complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
